Sid's News Letter 16th October

Dear Parents and Carers

We have been so incredibly busy recently and we have included so many experiences as a part of our new curriculum. The focus on maths has been problem solving using division. We have seen some very focused learning and lots of resilience. In Science, pupils have been finding out about heat energy and in Life Skills, they made home-made burgers! In our Humanities lessons, pupils have been learning about the Civil Rights Movement, which coincides with Black History month. On Wednesday, our visitor from the Essex Fire Service, spoke about knife crime and the danger of gang related crime. Pupils then joined a drama session to demonstrate what they had learned. Our whole school improvement project this week has given us a new outside space to use. Pupils helped to erect a large marquee and developed their planning and thinking skills. They were simply fabulous team players! Have a lovely weekend.
