Sid's News Letter - 25th September
Dear Parents and Carers
This week has been simply lovely.
All of our students are now settled into their class groups and their tutor groups. The new timetable is working well and it has been good to see real engagement taking place in English and maths lessons, as well as PSHE, science and others.
Each pupil now has a personal mentor and there is dedicated time each week for pupils to share thoughts, feelings and aspirations too.
On, Friday, it was lovely to observe how many different discussions and activities were taking place. Some students are using the time to develop a new skill and others are exploring future careers or college courses.
There was a whole school drama lesson, which sounded extremely exciting! It was brilliant to see everyone taking part and learning whilst having fun.
Outdoor learning sessions have doubled in length and there is much more time now for pupils to build, cook and to make the outdoor classroom even better.
More news next week. Erica and the Belsteads Team :)
